"The form this experience takes is shaped by Wren's own interest in creating scientific instruments out of buildings." John Pawson

The one-off 40cm wide concave crystal meniscus lens, the largest Swarovski has ever made, reflects and magnifies the exquisite beauty of the South West Tower of Sir Christopher Wren's St. Paul's Cathedral.

In homage to Wren's scientific, astrological and architectural mastery, the lens will act as a focal point for a new perspective on a rarely visited part of St Paul's Cathedral. Wren had intended that all his buildings should incorporate elements of scientific beauty and on the top of the South West Tower of St Paul's Cathedral he had planned to install a zenith telescope, for the purpose of measuring the earth's rotation.
